3 Dead Including Newly Wedded Following Mudslide In Lagos State.

A woman who got married two weeks ago in Adamawa State, was killed when a mudslide collapsed on shanties at Agindingbi, Lagos State. Three persons, a male and two females, including Faisa Mohammed , 24, were trapped under the mud but the other two were rescued alive.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency -LASEMA's ERT and men of the Nigerian Police from Alausa Division, RRS and the Nigerian security and civil defence LASAMBUS, NEMA, were on ground for the recovery operation.

The General Manager LASEMA Mr. Michael Akindele said that the area is a wet land and a buffer zone which is not habitable for human settlement.

He further noted that the State government has been sensitizing people staying in flood prone and wet land to vacate such areas to avert loss of lives especially during this raining season.
